Matilde Cano

The Designer Matilde Cano has come a long way in the world of fashion since she started her brand in 1976 when she presented the first Prêt-à-Porter Collection, successfully showing her mastery in combining the trends light and colour. She did not forget her home town origins of Córdoba, including her real feel and extensive knowledge of the Spanish flair in fashion. Over the years the brand’s expansion has continued with its recognised collections of evening dresses, cocktail and occasion wear, making the brand a leader in the sector of social events. Thanks to the care in selecting the raw materials, Silk, Chiffon, Muslin or French Chantilly and the continuous research of elegance we get the final result. In that same year, Matilde Cano received a Mention of Honour award, she opened her first boutique in her hometown Cordoba, followed by new openings of seven own brand stores and then multi-brand stores throughout Spain, the European Union and the Middle East. Actually we start the research to approach the US market with the business emphasis in New York. She is not only recognised in our country, the international market has opened its doors, she was once proposed by the foreign trade department to internationalize the company. She chose the French market as the first step towards the international expansion, positioning the product into multi-brand stores, expansion followed with the Italian and Portuguese markets.

MATILDE CANO Y LA ESENCIA DE NUESTRA TIERRA

Córdoba es mayo y mayo es Córdoba. Flamenco, volantes, lunares, arte y alegría son sinónimos de Córdoba y la mayor inspiración para Matilde Cano que siempre mantiene en la esencia de sus diseños el carácter de su tierra natal.

Nos adentramos en un escenario típicamente cordobés: la Plaza del Potro, el Centro de Flamenco Fosforito y la maravillosa Mezquita-Catedral, para realizar esta editorial de inspiración flamenca junto a Chic Producciones.

A esta cita no podía faltar la emblemática torera goyesca, una joya muy especial, que combinada con el pantalón negro plisado convirtiéndose en el look perfecto para lucir esta feria.

Por otro lado, este maravilloso vestido en tul rojo con una espectacular cascada de volantes que transmite esencia cordobesa.

No podemos dejar de mencionar la colaboración de Abril Complementos y Envol Complementos con accesorios imprescindibles como el sombrero cordobés o ramilletes artesanales que, sin duda, se encargan de poner el broche de oro.
